Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Bin Ahmad
President / Chief Executive Officer
Datuk Ir. Khairil Anwar Ahmad was appointed President/CEO of Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) on 1 November 2016. He brings with him over 30 years of experience and has an extensive background in engineering, construction, and property development. His roles as the President/CEO include overseeing the strategic planning and development of catalytic projects in Iskandar Puteri, as well as forming collaborative efforts with federal and state agencies, global partners, and key industrial players.
Datuk Khairil is a professional engineer and obtained his degree and master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and University of Strathclyde, Glasgow respectively. Datuk Khairil has also attended leadership programs at Harvard Business School and International Institute for Management Development (IMD) of Switzerland.
Datuk Akmal Ahmad
Chief Operating Officer
Datuk Akmal joined IIB group of companies in 2007 as the Director of Operation at Iskandar Development Management Services. With over 20 years of experience in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost and Contract, and overseeing the completion of mega projects such as PETRONAS Twin Towers, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Prince Court Medical Centre, Coastal Highway, EduCity, and LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, Datuk Akmal’s insight on operation excellence is invaluable.
He had also completed Harvard Business School’s courses on change and organisation renewal to further strengthen IIB’s corporate strategy.
Johari Shukri Jamil
Executive Vice President, Transformation
Johari joined IIB on 1 January 2019 and has stepped into a newly created role that allows him to push the company toward innovation and new business frontiers. Previously the Chief Operating Officer at E.A. Technique (M) Berhad and Executive Director of Tanjung Langsat Port Sdn Bhd, Johari had creatively grown and retained businesses in the past ten years. His sharp business acumen was proven invaluable during his years of service at Johor Corporation, where he served in several corporations and capacities.
In 1995, Johari graduated from the University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with an honors degree in chemical engineering, and he later completed an Advanced Leadership Programme (ALP) at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, the United Kingdom. Johari’s career spans more than 20 years. This experience has proven highly beneficial, helping him thrive in both local and multinational organizations.
Azman Mohd Hussein
Executive Vice President, Human Capital Management & Transformation
Azman has been an HR practitioner for more than 30 years and had served Celcom, Maxis, Securities Commission, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, DRB-Hicom, Medini Iskandar Malaysia, Themed Attractions Resorts and Hotels, and Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad in various human resources management capacities. A certified trainer, he had also trained personnel at Oriental Bank, Maybank, Accenture/OIC and Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia, to name a few.
A graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, Azman aced his Learning and Development and General Management courses at Harvard Business School, INSEAD and the London Business School. An accomplished leader, he had led operating companies and HR divisions; he uses his passion in talent management and development to inspire talent to reach their mastery.
Mohd Azarull Ahadi Abdullah
Executive Vice President, Finance
Azarull joined IIB in January 2011 as Assistant Vice President, Risk Management. Prior to IIB, Azarull has accumulated over 15 years of working experience, particularly in the area of financial management, corporate finance and governance, working for various companies across Johor Port Berhad and Padiberas Nasional Berhad’s group of companies.
A Chartered Accountant, Azarull graduated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional and is a member of CPA Australia and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
Wan Ahmad Saifuddin Wan Ahmad Radzi
Managing Director, EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd
Wan Ahmad Saifuddin has over 20 years of working experience in various senior management positions in Education, eBusiness, and Consultation. He holds a degree and master’s degree (MA) in Architecture from St. Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Backed by his years of compelling reputation in the fields of education, eLearning, knowledge management, and transformation, Wan Ahmad is ready to transform EduCity into one of Asia’s most reputable education hubs.
Sugu Maran Kailasan
Managing Director, Iskandar Development Management Services
Sugu joined IIB group of companies in October 2013 as Chief Operating Officer of EduCity. Armed with a civil engineering degree, a master’s degree in business administration, and a PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate, Sugu now oversees the management of assets and property services for the entire group. Sugu is one of IIB’s artery of revenues, and his sharp business acumen and soft skills are essential in advancing IDMS to the next level.
Ahmad Fadzli Zainudin
Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy
Fadzli joined IIB on 5 August 2019. Prior to IIB, Fadzli was the Head of Corporate Finance in a Malaysian conglomerate, Maju Holdings. Fadzli has more than 15 years of experience in the field of corporate finance and strategy, working for various public listed companies including Digi, CIMB, SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd and Sime Darby Bhd, specializing in M&A, investments, valuation and financial modelling. Fadzli started his career as an auditor in KPMG where he became a member of CPA Australia in 2007.
Fadzli holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from University of Melbourne.
Rose Diana Rahim
Rose Diana joined IIB in July 2018 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretarial. Presently, she is the Company Secretary for all companies in IIB Group.
Rose Diana is a lawyer by training and started her career at one of the renowned legal firm in Malaysia. During her stint in private practice, she had advised primarily in civil and banking litigation as well as industrial relation matters. She joined a public listed company in Malaysia as their in-house legal counsel and her last position was Senior Manager, Corporate Secretarial and Compliance.
Being a Company Secretary, she is primarily responsible to ensure for the compliance of IIB’s Group of Companies to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Rose Diana graduated with LLB (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia.
