Azizah Khalid Merican joined IIB in July 2021 as the Vice President of Education and was made Head of Education in April 2023. Previously, she was the Chief Executive of one of the biggest private colleges in Sabah, Malaysia, where she handled its business development and marketing strategy. Azizah has gained 15 years of experience in the education industry, making her extremely adept at enhancing the education sector.
As Head of Education in IIB, Azizah is primarily responsible for overseeing the education department and to ensure it's the efficient and effective operations.
Azizah is a certified Mental Health First Aider with the Malaysian Mental Health Association, a PSMB Certified Trainer under Train The Trainer (TTT) program and a certified Behavioural Consultant from the Institute for Motivational Living, USA. She graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from UNITAR International College.
